The Boots Every Woman Needs Because They Work With Everything 

When it comes to clothes and shoes, I’m definitely a capsule-wardrobe kind of girl. I like what I like and I don’t deviate too much from my staples. That’s why a versatile pair of shoes is a must-have for me. A pair that goes with everything saves me time, money and mental effort because I don’t have to think about what I’m putting on my feet. Therefore, I have a good pair of sandals for warm weather, pointy black heels for fancier events, sneakers for moving around on the weekend and relaxed days in the office and boots for colder days.

It’s because I’m used to working with a small number of clothing staples that I didn’t stress too much when I was set the challenge of pairing one pair of CAT boots with five different outfits – I do it every day already. And when I saw the boots that I had to do the challenge with, I relaxed even more because you don’t get much more versatile than a classic black ankle boot. Here are the five looks I put together:

Dressed Down

For this look, I was going for an easy-going, everyday outfit that would work at the office, but that I could also wear to casual drinks later in the evening. The tights make it a great transitional outfit for when the sun is shining, but there’s still a bit of a winter chilly breeze. For proper warm days, I would leave off the tights and rock bare legs.

Fuss-Free Formal

When it comes to more formal events, I’ve always felt that heels are the easiest way to show that you’ve made an effort with your appearance. But, really, I can wear heels for about 20 minutes before my feet start begging for mercy. Because these boots are black and have a small heel, I was able to pair them with jeans and a fancy top and get away with not wearing those dreaded toe-killers to a friend’s birthday. I love this look and love that the boots saved my toes. #grateful

Casual Vacancy

I love a casual look (ask anyone at WH HQ) and if I could get away with wearing jeans and a T-shirt every day, I would do it. (To be honest, I basically wear jeans every day and try to dress them up with different jerseys and shirts.) This outfit is my basic weekend uniform and it’s really great that the boots can be incorporated into it without any hassle.

Fancy Footwork

A fancy work event calls for a fancy outfit. And warmer weather means that I can show a bit of skin. Culottes are currently my “formal” go-to pants and I love them, like I love all my clothes, because they go with everything, can be dressed up or down and are super flattering. The boots give the look a bit of an edge and got me to wear something other than sandals with the pants.

Friday Night Lights

All black everything, jeans and some sexy boots. What else could I need or want? This look is perfect for a Friday night out on the town and the low heels of the boots meant that I was comfortable the whole time. If I had to choose, this would be my favourite outfit out of the five – the boots and jacket work well together and I felt really chic and stylish.

The Verdict

Stylish, comfortable and versatile – there aren’t many more boxes that a pair of boots needs to tick. And they really do go with everything, so I would honestly recommend them for anyone looking to add a great staple to their wardrobe.
