In 1992, the revolutionary MUGLER Fountain disrupted perfume conventions by making fragrances accessible to all with reusable bottles that could be refilled at a widespread selective distribution network. The Fountain provided almost 500,000 Alien refills in 2018, which means half a million bottles saved.

They also recently tweaked the design of the iconic amethyst bottle so that it’s more environmentally friendly:

• It’s now 100% recyclable — thanks to the removal of the claw at the base of the bottle.
• By removing the claw and lowering the ‘shoulders’ of the bottle, the brand has saved 17 tons of plastic.
• It’s also helped save 5 tons of CO2! Getting rid of the claw means MUGLER does not have to ship an additional 6,400 km by truck to the contractor that attaches them to the bottles.
